Before he was brought to the hospital, a doctor was in the house performing CPR on Jackson, said the source who asked not to be identified because he was not authorized to speak to the media. Paramedics were called to a home in the 100 block of Carolwood Drive off Sunset Boulevard. Los Angeles Fire Department Capt. Steve Ruda told The Times that paramedics responded to a 911 call from the home. When they arrived, Jackson was not breathing.
Los Angeles officials say it could be weeks before it's known what caused the death of Michael Jackson. It could be six to eight weeks before results of toxicology tests are in. His brother Jermaine says "It is believed he suffered cardiac arrest in his home." However, he says "the cause of his death is unknown until results of the autopsy are known."
