Miss Earth 2009 Winner - Miss BRAZIL

Miss Brazil, Larissa Ramos was crowned Miss Earth 2009! Miss Earth 2009 coronation night was held in Ecovillage Resort Convention Center in Boracay Island, Philippines. This is Brazil’s second win (the most) in the nine years history of the pageant.

Watch 2009 American Music Awards Live

The 2009 American Music Awards will take place on November 22, 2009, 8:oo p.m. @ the Nokia Theatre L.A. and will be broadcast live on ABC.

For the 3rd year in a row, winners will be determined through online voting. Rihanna, Adam Lambert and Taylor Swift are among the expected performers. Swift also tops the nominations, getting 6 nominations followed by the late King of Pop Michael Jackson with 5.

Other artists like Lady Gaga, Kings of Leon and Beyonce scored three nominations apiece.

Nominees are determined by radio airplay and retail sales, while members of the public determine the winners through online voting. Previously, winner are determined by a poll of 20,000 music buyers but ratings of the show were low, prompting the producers to change the system.
